I've been in touch with Dave Serbun, Ruth Strecker, and Marlene Rossi from here and CLASSMATES from Holy Innocents 1963. Now I see the names of Linda Silvan and Bill Dugan. Terrific! I met Jim Passio at the Juniata in June get-together in Wildwood last summer. We moved to Southampton right after graduation in 1963 and I graduated from Archbishop Wood. I've always regretted leaving Juniata. A little college and four years in the Coast Guard for me including a year on Attu in the Aleutians. I was married 38 years. My wife passed away a year ago and I have three children and five grandkids. Keep on the lookout for the Juniata in June bash. Did you guys mention stepball and halfball? Speaking of nuns, how about the one who tried to teach(?) us to sing at mass. She was rather nutty.

Linda,

Everything is good. Retired from the Dept. of Defense and now an independent contractor. Also still playing music, which I have been doing since high-school.

When you get a chance e-mail me. Are you still in Juniata? If so,I'm sure you'll have great insight into the neighborhood.

Fred,

Great 6th grade photo from Dawn McGuigan! I remember it well. I think I might be able to help with a few of the missing names if anyone wants them. Meanwhile, hope you are all well!
Linda :)

Hey Guys,

One fun thing I remember about HI was pretzel time, and each day someone would hand them out. I believe we paid 5 cents. I also remember when a worker fell off the roof . He passed right by our window and the nun quickley moved all of the curious away.

How about May procession? Seems like the school and church are pretty much preserved and when I was up there for my mothers funeral last year, so many womderful thoughts and emotions went through my mind.

He's to the old Juniata gang; keep those thoughts and comments coming, they are great to read!

Bill: "Old building!" The nuns would, in Sister Mary Neumann's words, "give you a sound thrashing." It's the "original building." Remember how they drummed that into our vernacular? There were a few times when we used the bigger field, usually when we only had one ball. Remember when a guy jumped off the roof one afternoon, during class? Would have been in the early 60s. He went off the back of the roof, landing on the hard surface. There were bushes and lawn in the front, making for a possible softer landing.

Hey Rob, I just ordered a pimple ball from phillyretro.com. It cost me $11 bucks to have it shipped. I agree with you, I will probably put it in a glass case when it arrives.

All these games we used to play, problem is that I want a "pimple ball" in the worst way, probably went out with the skate key. If I had one it would be in a glass case.
